Elements of Style

Good Sunday Morning!
Elements of Style is such a pretty set.  I am so glad Stampin Up has carried it over into the new catalog.  Click HERE to see it.  This card was so quick and easy - I used Night of Navy & Rich Razzleberry, with the Whisper White Organza Ribbon.  (Yes, I handcut the bird, but it wasn't bad at all, lol)

Petite Purses (and a little chocolate)

My daughter attended my upline's monthly 3-D class and made these ADORABLE little purses.  Starting June 1, the Petite Purse Bigz L Die  is available in the new catalog.  These make such cute teacher gifts, graduation gifts, for a tea party, bridge game, OR........how about as an appreciation gift on the tables at a wedding???  (see my wedding theme going on here, lol)  They are so easy to make and the color combinations are totally up to you!  I just looooove the new Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper choices she selected (also available June 1st!)  I mentioned chocolate in my subject title.....my upline filled everyone's purses up with Hershey Kisses!  So sweet! (HA, get it?)

Bridal Shower

My daughter is getting married in August and she is VERY busy making her own wedding invitations (& RSVP cards, Reception card, etc)....a picture can be seen in a prior blog post.  I've been thinking on the design for the bridal shower invitation for a while and finally started cranking them out.  She loves pink.  The stamps are retired, but so cute.  The bride is from 'To Have and To Hold' and the white embossed "You're invited" is from the 'Hugs and Wishes' set.  The invitation wording was done on My Digital Studio (so easy).

Chicken of the Sea

If you're like me, you have a stack of embossing folders that really don't have a good place to be stored.  I always kept mine in a sewing box - which worked fine.....BUT...I found this new idea.  Next time at the grocery store, grab the box from the Chicken of the Sea packets (yes, I took the packets out and laid them on the shelf, lol).  The grocery store said I could absolutely have the box for free.  Wrap the box in your favorite Designer Series Paper; add a little love & bling - and guess what?  The embossing folders fit perfectly inside the box!!!
I gave a box to my upline - this is hers:

BRAND NEW CATALOG!

The new Stampin Up! 2012-2013 IB&C catalog comes out on June 1st......I was able to pre-order a few sneak peak items and receive a copy of the new catalog early.....  My UPS guy, Kevin thinks I'm a nut as I was "semi" patiently waiting for him to arrive, lol.  He's such a good sport!!

Graduation Celebration!

My youngest daughter is graduating high school this month - wahoo, yippee, and hoorah!!  My daughter, my upline (& dear friend), and I made these graduation party invitations - they turned out soooooo cute!  They are a standard A2 size and fit into a regular envelope. The 'cap' is made using the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate.  With a few quick diagonal scores & folding - a super cute grad cap.  The tassel is shredded satin ribbon!  I will write up the tutorial and post soon, because everyone needs to make these!
