Christmas in July

I've been busy creating my swaps from the new catalog - I made this card from the Gifts of Christmas set.  Although it may be 105 degrees outside, I'm chillin' indoors with my holiday cards, lol.

LNS 2012!

Well Stampin Up just wrapped up their annual convention in Salt Lake City this weekend - from the posts & pictures I've seen from my fellow demo's....I really missed out!  Although its a year away - not at all too early to start planning for next year.  There is a wonderful group of people "Late Night Stampers" that get together during convention time that hold their own stamp camps, card sharing/swapping, etc.  These gals seem to party all night long and then some!  Late Night Stampers are reserving spots now for 2012, sign up now and big savings {who doesn't love a bargain???}  For anyone interested in attending next year's annual event check out this link:   http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1908535481/eorg

Wedding Cards

I am by no means an expert-level crafty demonstrator (YET), however I have two weddings coming up in July so I made these.  My plan is to shimmer paint (when my order delivers on Thursday, lol) so picture it all shimmery!

Card #2 Early Expresso, Bashful Blue

Late Night Stampers

Hope everyone had a fun-filled 4th!  Today, Tuesday is a company holiday for me, for some reason my company gives us the 4th & 5th off this year (but not complaining!) - I've already told my husband, today is dedicated to stamping - nothing else!  It'll be hard to put the Blackberry down {as I've already checked it many times this morning ugh} :-)

I wanted to share another group of wonderful people with you - Late Night Stampers.  These gals (and guys) meet just prior to the annual SU! Convention in Salt Lake City each year to "stamp it up!"  Convention is around July each year (this year it's next week I believe), so I missed this one - but hopefully I can attend next year's event and meet all these wonderful LNS ladies!  The link to their group is:  http://www.stampinconnection.com/group/LNS

Swaps!

Ok, so I've discovered this new 'phanatic' of people out there that love to share their ideas/talents with completed cards.  SWAPS!  What a cute idea of people making cards with various stamp sets (SU!, of course) and trading their cards to build up a collection.  I signed up under one particular swap group that will make the entire Stampin Up! 2011-2012 collection - I picked 3 sets:  For Everything, Gifts of Christmas, and Homemade.  Homemade, ironically....was the 1st stamp I ever purchased, lol.  Of course, now I have a month to complete about 60 CARDS - wish me luck!  I was out of town on a business trip last week, and while most people on my flights to/from Dallas/Baltimore were either sleeping, working on laptops, reading a book, etc I studied my catalog both ways!
